Being a hokkion is always something that I look forward to today. Now people dialects celebrate CNY on the first day of CNY while I, being a Hokkien, celebrates CNY on the 9th day of the lunar new year. Beats me why it is happening so, i just know that i have to celebrate it.
Today i'll be driving back to kampar for the prayers and hopefully, i won't be a panda tomorrow. Worse come to worse, i'll see what i can do. but then, this is not the first year that i have gone back to kampar for the celebration. been that, done that, tried that. but the hassle of driving back is the one that is running on my mind now. aiseh...driving back for at least 2 hours. ceh!

I know Hokkien CNY is celebrated on the 9th...
Long time ago, there are many clans in China, right? Well, there was a war between the clans(I don't know which) during Chinese New Year(1st day) then...
The Hokkien clan had to hide in the sugar cane plantations to erm... save themselves??? Then, finally the war ended on the 9th and they, then, celebrated their Chinese New Year...(delayed CNY larr..)
The incident is also the reason why Hokkien people buys sugar canes as offerings?(am I right?)
Shame on you larr.. you should know...haha..I'm a Teo chew and I know...haha...just kidding.. actually my mom's a Hokkien... but my dad was the one who told me this... weird...=.="
